Fraz - The Grey Area (released 2007)Fraz the grey area

The release of 'The Grey Area in the summer of 2007 represents a period of personal discovery, heartfelt songs and a realization of more mature, rootsy sound that suits listeners just fine. This direction continues to bloom as new material comes together for a new release. A video for Mirror Never Lies, a fan favourite, is currently in the works. Watch for it on youtube and here. The Grey Area is currently being remastered for digital realease in 2010.

Fraz - Hear (released Sept 2001)Fraz Hear CD

The world changed forever that month. However, Fraz's contribution to the musical landscape also brought us one of the most refereshing, ambitious indie releases of the year.
As a debut, this recording was considered a bit of a masterpiece for Fraz and continues to this day to be the statement that defines his sound. The Song Two Worlds was the first release, however radio stations immediately took the the rythmic grooves of Days in the Sun and the quirky, pshycadelic Slipping, placing Hear among the few Canadian gems that year.

Banana Moon - Écoutez Bien (released 1994)banana moon fraz

Although Banana Moon released three recordings during their 10 years together in the Toronto curcuit, Écoutez Bien continues to be a favourite. With the addition of Phil Duncan on lead vocals and keyboards, this release showcases a broader, more accessible direction from their earlier Progressive rock roots, where anything could happen and usually did. Supermono records has recently released all three recordings. For a listen, check out myspace.com/bananamoon69
